This series of Magnet Power Supplies are specifically designed to drive Fast Orbit Feed-Back (FOFB) correctors in the storage ring of synchrotrons.
Current setting can be updated:
– Either through a RS485 interface for each power supply, up to 14kHz
– Either through the chassis Ethernet port
The current setting can also be the sum of a DC component (sent through Ethernet) and an AC component (through the RS485 interface).
Factory tuning to the magnet electrical parameters allows best noise/speed trade-off.
Thanks to ITEST deep expertise in low-noise analog electronics, this power supply offers very good noise performances to avoid adding unwanted noise to the beam: down to 60ppm peak to peak (10Hz-10kHz).
Exceptional 1.000.000 hours field proven MTBF decreases maintenance costs and suppress the need for redundancy in critical applications, such as particle accelerators.
